HEMPSTEAD, NY - Chris Beston's goal with 18:22 remaining lifted the Huskies of Northeastern to a 3-2 come-from behind victory over Old Dominion University Friday night in the first round of the Hofstra Umbro Invitational, despite two goals from the Monarchs Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia).
The Monarchs are now 0-2, while Northeastern is 3-0. Old Dominion twice took one-goal leads in the second half, but the Huskies answered each time. Northeastern's Anders Hoyem scored two minutes after that to tie the match. Beston's second goal came on an assist from Peter Starnas.
