NORFOLK, VA - Old Dominion Wrestling travels to Harrisonburg, VA this weekend to compete in the Virginia Intercollegiate State Tournament. The Monarchs hold a record of 3-2 and come off a 27th place finish at last weekend's Southern Scuffle.
"This weekend will be a great opportunity to wrestle some of the opponents that we will face as we fight to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Our guys are very capable of winning this as a team." Head coach Steve Martin explains. "By winning this weekend, it will help jump start the second part of our season. The team has been training hard and now all we have to do is compete for seven minutes."
Last year's squad placed in nearly all the weight classes including four 1st place finishes, two by current seniors Robby Gosnell and Adam Wright. This year looks to be just as successful. Below are the probable starters for Old Dominion, the respective weight classes, class standing, and individual records.
