Monarch Sailing Takes 14th at Rose Bowl Ragatta

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Old Dominion University coed sailing team finished 14th at the 27th annual Rose Bowl Regatta over the weekend at the U.S. Sailing Center.

The event, which is hosted by the University of Southern California, is the largest coed intersectional competition during the college sailing season fielding over 25 teams from across the country.

Competing for the Monarchs in the A-Division was sophomore skipper Scott Hoffmann and sophomore crew Alexa Cavalieri, who finished in 12th place with 89 points.

The B-Divsion race, sophomore skipper Evan Hoffmann and freshman crew Jaclyn Hollander, took 15th with 112 points.

The teams did not get all scheduled races in due to light air.
