30TH ODU Seascape Collegiate Begins Monday

NORFOLK, VA--The 30th annual ODU-Seascape Collegiate Golf Tournament begins Monday, Oct. 26th and concludes Oct. 27th at the Seascape Golf Course in Kitty Hawk, NC.
There will be 15 teams competing in the 36-hole event, including last year's runner-up, defending team champion and three of the top 25 CAA players.
This year's field includes: Delaware, Drexel, Elon, George Mason, George Washington, Hartford Longwood, Pennsylvania, Radford, South Carolina-Upstate, Saint Joseph's, Temple, Towson, and tournament host ODU.
Old Dominion is the defending tournament champion as the Monarchs won last year's event by seven strokes. ODU's Eric Onesi and Neil Henderson return as well as George Mason's Marshall Tinsley. All three finished in the top 25 of the CAA Championships last year.
Onesi has already been the CAA Golfer of the Week this fall finished second in the CAA Championships last year and earned an competed in the NCAA Regionals. Henderson tied for seventh, while Tinsley was 22nd in last year's CAA Championships. Senior Seth Norman has had a solid fall for the Monarchs as well.
Last year's tournament runner-up Jimmy Bea of Saint Joseph's returns. He lost in last year's event on play-off to Liberty's Tobias Pettersson.
The University of Hartford won this tournament in 2007, while Elon won in 1999. ODU has won the event five times.
