Monarchs Host Quad In Final Home Event Of Year

NORFOLK, VA (Feb. 18)-Old Dominion's wrestling team will host a quadrangular with Maryland, Howard and Delaware State Feb. 19 at 10 am in the team's final home event of the season. The premier matchup will pit Old Dominion (3-4) against ACC-foe Maryland (4-3) in the second match of the day.

Wrestling will get underway at 10 am as ODU faces Howard and Maryland marks Delaware State. In the second match, the Monarchs will wrestle Maryland, the current first-place team in the ACC.

The final match of the day will feature Old Dominion and Delaware State. The Monarchs will also honor their three seniors, 125-pound Chip Reyes (Virginia Beach, VA), 133-pound Joel Jimenez (Norfolk, VA) and 184-pound Chris Harrington (North Ft. Myers, FL), in a special ceremony prior to the ODU-Maryland match.

The Monarchs will wrap-up the 1999-2000 regular season on Feb. 24, as they take on George Mason in Fairfax, VA. The teams will return to Fairfax on Sat., Mar. 4, as they take part in the CAA Championships.
