Monarchs Finish Seventh at Matlock Collegiate Classic

LAKELAND, FL -The Old Dominion men's golf team finished seventh out of 15 teams at the Matlock Collegiate Classic, hosted by Florida Southern, with a score of 900.  The Monarchs shot a collective 290 in the third round of the tournament to tie with Tennessee-Chattanooga for seventh.  Individually, Nick Kenney tied for seventh with a three-day total of 219.  Kenney shot 72 in the third round.

 

Florida Southern won the team event with a three-day score of 872.  Kansas State's Matt VanCleave and Missouri's Ben Scott both tied for the lead with a score of 219.  There was no playoff due to Missouri's flight schedule.
