Patrik Balint Named CAA Men's Swimming Rookie of the Year

RICHMOND, VA -Old Dominion freshman swimmer Patrik Balint (Budapest, Hungary) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association men's swimming Rookie of the Year, as voted by the CAA men's swimming coaches.  Balint took gold medals in the 100 backstroke (50.55) and 200 backstroke (1:48.79) and also swam the opening leg for the Monarchs' 400-freestyle relay team that finished in second place.  Balint is the first ODU men's swimmer to be named Rookie of the Year since 1997 when Kevin Harrison and Jimmy Sullivan shared the honor.
