NORFOLK, VA -- Temple's Tiffany Pulaski scored seven goals and rattled off three unassisted and unanswered goals in the game's final three minutes to lift the Owls to a 12-10 victory over the Old Dominion women's lacrosse team on Friday afternoon at Foreman Field. The Lady Monarchs were led by five goals from leading scorer, senior midfielder Suzanne Wosczyna (Phoenixville, PA) and four goals by freshman attacker Ashley Stanwick (Aquasco, MD).

Old Dominion falls to 2-3 in the loss, dropping their third straight, while Temple snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 2-3 on the year.

The game was a back and forth battle throughout. Neither team enjoyed more than a one-goal lead in the first half as the Lady Monarchs and Owls battled to a 5-5 tie at the half.

The Lady Monarch led throughout much of the second half and owned a 9-7 lead with 13:30 left in the game after a Janine Rodriguez (Davidsonville, MD) tally. However, in the closing minutes Temple went on to outscore the Lady Monarchs 4-1. The Owls' Megan Condon and Tiffany Pulaski scored back-to-back goals to tie the game at 9-9 with just over two minutes to go, but Old Dominion's Stanwick, on her third and final goal of the game, gave Old Dominion back the lead, 10-9, with 5:04 left on the clock. Temple went on to score three unanswered goals in the remaining minutes, all unassisted by Pulaski for the come from behind win.

In goal, Old Dominion's sophomore Michelle Gannon (Delmar, MD) made 11 saves in the loss. Temple's Megan McLouth recorded 16 saves.

Wosczyna collected five groundballs and four draw controls for the Lady Monarchs. Also for Old Dominion, freshman Katie Veneziale (Downingtown, PA) registered two draws and Stanwick recorded two draw controls and five groundballs.

The Lady Monarchs will look to return to the win column when they host Lafayette on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Foreman Field.
