Tia Lewis Recognized By College Sports Madness

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion senior forward Tia Lewis was recognized by College Sports Madness on their Preseason CAA All-Conference Second Team.

The basketball website selected 10 CAA standouts and Lewis made the cut. She is joined on the second team by Lauren Carra (Delaware), Alisha Andrews (UNCW), Chan Harris (Georgia State) and Kamile Nacickaite (Drexel). The first team was comprised of Andrea Barbour (VCU), Taysha Pye (W&M), Shante Evans (Hofstra), Elena Delle Donne (Delaware) and Courtney Hurt (VCU).

Lewis is coming off a solid 2010-11 campaign in which she led the Lady Monarchs in scoring (12.1 ppg), rebounding (7.8 rpg) and blocks (1.1 bpg). The Poulan, Ga. native was the only member of last years team to start all 31 games and she was named Third Team All-CAA after posting eight double-doubles and 24 double digit scoring efforts.
