Freshman forward Kim Snyder (Va. Beach, VA) came off the bench to score the game-winning goal and added an assist to spark the Old Dominion University women's soccer team to a 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association victory over host UNC Wilmington Sunday at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The Monarchs improved to 3-8-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the CAA with the win. The Seahawks dropped to 8-5-0 and 1-4-0.

With the game tied at 1-all, junior Diane Baucom (Va. Beach, VA) sent the ball into the box and Snyder drilled a shot past UNCW goalkeeper Tiffany Langford at 86:45 for the decisive goal.

ODU opened the scoring at 22:59 as sophomore striker Ashley Kramer took a pass from Snyder and found the left corner of the net for a 1-0 advantage. The Seahawks evened the score at 1-1 less than six minutes later, however, when senior forward Stephanie Lundberg scored her fourth goal of the season at 28:53. Jenn Bartucca was credited with an assist on the goal.

Kristen Bailey (Hamilton, VA) only had to make one save on the day as the Lady Monarch defense was able to control the flow and limit the Seahawks to just five shots.

Old Dominion will conclude a five-game road trip on Wednesday when they travel to Radford for a non-conferencw matchup.
