Lady Monarchs Open Home Stand

NORFOLK, VA. -- The Lady Monarch soccer squad opens a two-game homestand this weekend when they host Towson on Friday at 7 p.m. and Delaware on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in CAA matches.

This will be the Lady Monarchs first home match of the season. The Campbell match scheduled for Sept. 17th was cancelled because of Hurricane Isabel.

The Lady Monarchs are (1-3-3/0-1-1)and have played four overtime matches. Laura Beeman (Chalfont, PA.) leads the Lady Monarchs with five goals and ranks fifth in the CAA in goals scored. She also ranks eighth in the league in total points with 10.

Goalkeeper Stephanie Miller (Plymouth Meeting, PA.) ranks second in the CAA with 43 saves.

Towson (2-6/ 1-1) has three scorers with two goals each. They are Emma Noonan, Holly Noga and Natalie Klisas. ODU lost at Towson, 2-1 last year.

Delaware (5-3-1/ 1-1) are led by Francesca Termini with seven goals which rank her fourth in the CAA in scoring, and four in goals. Carny Blood leads the CAA with seven assists. Delaware ranks second in the lead in goals per game at 5.78. ODU lost at Delaware, 2-0 last year.
