Old Dominion Head Coach Blaine Taylor:

"I heard about the James Madison rivalry before I got here. James Madison has a real fine team. They jumped out on our early, but I'm real proud of our kids. I'm very pleased with their performance and how hard they fought."

"If you want good free throw shoots, recruit players that can shoot. I have a tremendous belief that our players can make the free throw down the clutch. Free throws add up."

"We worked real hard at not putting at the line. We didn't want their strong shooters to make their shot."

"Janko's (Mrksic) defense was really important for us. Isaiah's (Hunter) explosive abilities helped us. John (Waller) played his tail off for the entire night. Rasheed (Wright) came to life the second. Richard (Marsh) outsmarted a lot of them in the second half. John (Morris) and Isaiah played with point mentalities and that helped."

"Ricardo (Marsh) is very difficult to guard because I think he's not pressed to shoot. He's much more in-tune with playing the game than the people guarding him."

Old Dominion senior forward Rasheed Wright:

"We fight hard. Post players are just going to step up to the challenge and that's what I did. I think I do a lot of things to help besides scoring. My whole thing is to minimize, to challenge everything they shots, just play hard, and keep tight defense. When we're clicking it's hard to stop us. We play good defense."

Old Dominion senior forward Ricardo Marsh:

"With a home atmosphere, it always feels great. We played the same at the beginning game we as did at the end of the game knowing that if we do the right things, we'll be successful."

Old Dominion junior guard John Waller:

On his shoulder:

"It's better every day. It still gets sore, but it's coming back."

"Defense is the key. When they first came in, they played hard, but we held it down with boards and shots. We just try to play hard, fight, and break down their offense. We did a good job containing them on the perimeter."

Old Dominion freshman guard John Morris:

"With coaches and great teammates around you, it's getting easier to get in the mix."

James Madison Head Coach Sherman Dillard:

"I thought we played well for 10 or 12 minutes. Old Dominion played very smart basketball. I have to give them credit. They got the ball where they wanted it, in the paint. We were unable to get the ball inside. Sometimes someone needs to take responsibility. The zone did affect us, but I thought we started slipping before that."

James Madison senior guard David Fanning:

"We made mental mistakes. We didn't focus and I think we shot ourselves in the foot. We turned the ball over and they scored on it. We needed to continue to play, but I don't think we did. I just got to keep working."
