James Brockington Named CAA Co-Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. (October 13, 2010) - Old Dominion freshman golfer James Brockington (Oxfordshire, England) and Towson's Nyasha Mauchaza earned CAA Men's Golfers of the Week honors after they tied for first at the Joe Agee Invitational.
Brockington and Mauchaza each shot 72-69--141 (-1) at the Joe Agee Tournament on the Colonial Heritage Golf Course in Williamsburg, Va.
The two players each carded on day two for the lowest score of the round. Brockington, a freshman, helped the Monarchs (578, +10) win the team title with four shots over second-place host William & Mary (582, +14). Mauchaza tagged his 10th top five finish of his collegiate career. The Tigers (597, +29) finished tied for sixth, with Delaware, at the 14 team event.
The Monarchs return to action Oct. 24-26 when they host the first annual ODU-Outerbanks Intercollegiate at the Kilmarlic Golf Course in Powells Point, NC.
