The three Football Monarchs who signed free agent contracts Saturday night wanted to share these special words with Monarch Nation.

Ronnie Cameron

"I want to thank Old Dominion and the 12th Monarch for supporting me these past few years.  It has been a special opportunity to play for ODU and I will wear and bleed these colors the rest of my life.  I want to thank everyone at Old Dominion, from the administration to the coaching staff to the rest of my teammates and the Hampton Roads community, because without them I wouldn't be able to become the person I am."

Thomas DeMarco

"I am fortunate to be able to compete for a spot on the Lions roster, getting the same to get the same opportunity Coach Wilder gave me three years ago here at Old Dominion and I'm going to make the best of it.  Everything about my experience these past three years far exceeded my expectations - from the tremendous amount of fan support to the success we had on the field.  I'm glad that our class and the upcoming classes are heading the program in the right direction.  I wouldn't change a single thing about my experience at Old Dominion.  I'm thankful for every opportunity I've received."

#17 - Thomas DeMarco (ODU '12) - CFL: BC Lions

Edmon McClam

"No words can describe it.  A lot hard work, early mornings, late nights, running, lifting, studying...It is all paying dividends.  It's just an indescribable feeling.  I couldn't have done it without the support of the 12th Monarch and everyone at Old Dominion, who showed me support from the first day I walked on campus."
