WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA (April 15, 2000) -- The fifth-seeded Old Dominion women's tennis team fell in straight sets across the board to top-seeded William and Mary, 5-0 on April 15 at the McCormack-Nagelson Tennis Center in Williamsburg in the first semifinal of the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Tennis Tournament. The match was moved indoors from Byrd Park due to inclement weather.

Old Dominion fell in straight sets to the defending CAA champion, losing at #1, #2, #3, #5, and #6 singles. The #4 match was suspended due to overall score. With the loss, the Lady Monarchs finish the regular season at 11-11.
