RICHMOND, Va. - Old Dominion senior forward Emma Batten has been selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. This is the second consecutive CAA weekly honor for Batten, who leads the Lady Monarchs with 13 points on six goals and an assist.

Batten posted her first career hat trick in a 4-0 ODU win over Maryland last Friday. The Lady Monarchs also recorded a 4-1 victory over Virginia during the week. The senior forward has helped ODU to a perfect 4-0 start this season, with all wins coming against Top 10 opponents.

Batten shares this week's award with Northeastern's Crystal Poland, who posted seven goals on the week in three games.

The second-ranked Lady Monarchs next travel to Columbus, Ohio for the Buckeye Classic. ODU will take on No. 5 Syracuse on Saturday and then face Ohio State on Sunday. Both games are scheduled for 2 p.m.
