Monarch Swimmers Lead CAA Championships With One Day To Go

FAIRFAX, VA. (Feb. 25) - The Old Dominion men's swimming team led by the 200 medley relay squad lead the CAA championships after 26 events, six points ahead of James Madison. ODU has 391, and the Dukes are in second with 385.50.

The Monarchs 200 medley relay team of Greg Cardillo (Providence, RI.),Mike Coley (Niskayuna,NY.), Matt Morrisette (Va.Beach, Va.), and John Sax (Memphis, Tn.) set a CAA record (1:32.34).

The Monarchs 800 freestyle relay of Jimmy Sullivan (W.Palm Beach, Fla.), Mike Coey (Niskayuna,NY), John Wall (Hoover, AL.) and Mark Guisto (Va. Beach, Va.) won with a time of 6:48.35.

The final day of CAA Swimming and Diving at the George Mason University Aquatic and Fitness Center is Saturday, Feb. 26. The Finals begin at 6 p.m.
