Lady Monarchs Take on Hofstra Sunday

NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University women's basketball host Hofstra Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ted Constant Center.

Old Dominion is 5-11 overall and 2-2 in the CAA while Hofstra is 12-3 overall and 4-0 in league play.

Old Dominion is coming off a hard fought 76-72 overtime loss at VCU Wednesday.

Tia Lewis led the Lady Monarchs with 21 points and seven rebounds.

• Junior Jackie Cook set her careerhigh for the second-straight game, pouring in 20 points and seven rebounds.

• Lewis leads the team with 18.3 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game. She is three points away from passing Tiffany Green for 19th on the ODU all-time scoring list. She currently has 1,396 career points.

• Hofstra is 12-3 overall and 4-0 in CAA play.

• The Pride have won three in a row and six of their last seven, including an 80-67 win over Georgia State Thursday night.

• Junior forward Shante Evans leads the team with 17.8 and 10.4 rebounds per game.

• Sophomore Katelyn Loper and senior Nicole Capurso also average double-digits with 13.5 and 12.2, respectively.
