MADISON, Wis. - The Old Dominion sailing team is in 14th after day one of the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Coed National Championship, with 133 total points. The 18-team field sailed six races in both the A and B division on the first day.

Junior skipper Stephanie Roble led the Monarchs with sophomore crew Emily Reich and senior crew Michael Komar to a 10th place result in the A Division. In the A Division, ODU managed four Top 10 efforts, including a sixth place showing in race five. Roble started the regatta sailing with Reich before competing with Komar in the final four races.

Senior skipper Alan Alkins sailed in B division with junior Morgan Wilson and freshman Dillon Paiva. It was an up-and-down day for the B division sailors, but it was highlighted by a second-place result in race two and a fifth-place effort in the sixth race. Alkins sailed with Paiva in race five and Wilson in the other five.

Top-ranked Boston College sits in first at the end of day one with 58 team points.
