NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion Football Monarchs cracked the Top Ten in both The Sports Network/Fathead.com and FCS Coaches Polls on Monday. Its took only 33 games in the program's history for the Monarchs to reach the Top Ten coming in at No. 10 in the TSN Poll and No. 9 in the Coaches Poll.

Old Dominion moves up to the Top Ten in both the polls following its 35-31 regular season finale win at William & Mary last Saturday.  The Monarchs closed out the regular season at 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and still have a shot at becoming CAA Co-Champions with both a Towson and Maine loss this weekend.  ODU, who has a bye week this week, will now await the FCS Selection Show at 10 a.m. on Sunday on ESPNU.

In the TSN Poll, the Monarchs are one of five teams from the CAA represented in the poll.  Joining ODU in the Top Ten is Towson (8-2) at No. 8 moving up four spots in the poll following its 56-42 win over New Hampshire.  The Wildcats (7-3) meanwhile dropped out of the Top Ten and down five places to No. 12 with the loss.  Maine (8-2), with its 32-21 victory over UMass, rose two places to No. 11 and Delaware (6-4) remained at No. 15 after a 24-10 victory over Richmond.

The Monarchs are also one of five CAA squads in the Coaches Top 25.  Old Dominion, who rose two spots from last week, is the highest ranked CAA team in the poll with Towson joining the Monarchs in Top Ten at No. 10.  Maine follows closely behind at No. 11, while New Hampshire comes in at No. 13 and Delaware at No. 17.
