NORFOLK, VA -- After two days of racing at the ICSA Women's National Championship, the nation's top ranked team St. Mary's College of Maryland holds a nine-point lead over defending champion Charleston. The Seahawks have a total of 123 points while the Cougars have tallied 132. Heading into the final day of racing Stanford, Navy, and UC-Irvine are nipping close behind to round out the top five. Racing will begin approximately at 9:45 am on Friday at the ODU Sailing Center.

Allie Blecher (College of Charleston) is still pacing all skippers in B division with a total of 41 points after 12 races. In A division, the boats got an additional set in before closing Thursday and St. Mary's skipper Adrienne Patterson leads after 14 races with 60 points.

The top five positions have seen steep competition with the slots juggling throughout the day. Currently Stanford, in third, has 152 points while Navy comes in at fourth with 174 and UC-Irvine has 177 total points. Harvard (197), Boston College (207), and Tufts (220) are all still within 100 points of the leader to round out the top eight.

Following Tufts was Boston University with 236 points, Georgetown with 240 in tenth place, and Dartmouth finishing day two with 243 points. Wisconsin will fight for a spot in the top ten with 246 points after the first 26 races.

Old Dominion sits at 13th with 294 points while the bottom five of William Smith (326), South Florida (365), Washington (366), Texas (370), and Michigan (375) are all very close going into the final ten races.
