OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - Old Dominion University rising sophomore Anna Tunnicliffe (Perrysburg, OH.) placed second at the U.S. Singlehanded Sailing Championships at the Oklahoma City Boat Club. Tunnicliffe was the only female in the 17-person event. She was also awarded the Peter Barrett Sportsmanship Trophy.

Tunnicliffe, the reigning Women's Singlehanded Collegiate Champion which she won in November of 2002 finished the event with 32 points, just ten behind Andrew Campbell who has now qualified for the US Olympic Trials in the laser class.
