HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Senior midfielder Katie Veneziale (Downingtown, Pa.) and junior attacker Kelly Kimener (Oakton, Va.) were named to the 2007 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) All-Tournament Team.

Kimener led Old Dominion in the 9-10 loss in the tournament semifinals to eventual champion Hofstra with three goals for her third hat trick and 11th of her career. The third-year Lady Monarch also added in an assist and finished tournament action with four points. She also collected two draws and two groundballs.

Veneziale scored one of the Lady Monarchs' nine goals on a free position attempt giving Old Dominion its first lead of the game against the Pride. The senior midfielder also registered two groundballs in the tournament semifinal.

Joining Kimener and Veneziale on the All-Tournament Team were Nicole Flego and Courtney Aburn from Delaware, Kelly Berger, Julie Stone, Natasha Fuchs from James Madison, and Becky Thorn, Alysse Ruszkowski, Corrine Gandolfi, and Kimberly Hillier from Hofstra. Thorn was selected as the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

The 2007 Old Dominion women's lacrosse team finished the season with a 7-8 overall mark. They made their first post-season appearance since 2003 and captured the most wins in a season since that 2003 campaign.
