No. 26 Men's Tennis Blanks Florida A&M, 7-0

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The No. 26 Old Dominion men's tennis squad won its fifth-straight and improved its overall mark to 13-4 with a 7-0 blanking of Florida A&M on Sunday at Huntington Park.
The Monarchs won two of three double matches to collect their first point of the afternoon. The match started off with No. 36 Harel Srugo and Henrique Cancado combining forces for an 8-3 win at No. 1 singles against Artiom Podgainii and Simborashe Happy. Florida A&M tied things with a win at No. 2 doubles, but the Monarchs' third doubles team of Rodrigo Souza and Yakov Diskin clinched the point with an 8-1 victory over Paul Paige and Jarrell Williams.
Singles saw Old Dominion win all six singles matches, five coming in straight sets.
The Old Dominion men's tennis team returns to action this weekend at the Hampton Roads Collegiate Round-Up. The Monarchs will take on Longwood on Friday, March 30th, Temple and Drexel on Saturday, March 31st, and Hofstra and UNC-Wilmington on Sunday, April 1st. All matches will take place at Owl Creek in Virginia Beach.
