Women's Lacrosse Lost Tight One to Maryland, 13-8

Norfolk, Va. -- 16th-ranked Old Dominion University lost a slim 13-8 contest to top-ranked and defending national champion Maryland Saturday afternoon at Foreman Field on the Old Dominion campus. With the loss, the Lady Monarchs fall to 4-3 overall (1-1 CAA). The Terrapins stand at 7-0 overall/3-0 ACC.

Senior Dana Wisniewski (Collegeville, Pa.) led the way for the Lady Monarchs with five goals on the afternoon, including four consecutive to start the second half and keep her team within striking distance. Sophomore Suzanne Wosczyna (Phoenixville, Pa.) added two goals and an assist.

Senior Allison Comito (Glen Head, NY) led Maryland with four goals and an assist while two-time Player of the Year Jen Adams (Brighton, South Australia) added two goals and four assists.

Old Dominion will host CAA foe American tomorrow at 1 pm.
