Wrestling Heads to CAA Duals on Saturday

FAIRFAX, Va. - Old Dominion University wrestling will compete in the CAA Duals on Saturday in Fairfax. The Monarchs begin the event at 10 a.m. against Boston University, and follow that up by facing Drexel, Hofstra and Rider.

Old Dominion is 2-6 in duals action this season with wins coming over UNC Greensboro and VMI. The Monarchs are led by seniors James Nicholson and Kyle Hutter. Nicholson, ranked No. 4 in the nation at 125, is 17-0 on the year while Hutter is ranked No. 12 in the country at 133 and is 20-4 this season.

Sophomore Brennan Brumley is third on the team win wins with 15 while Joey Metzler and Tristan Warner have 12 wins apiece.

Boston University is 2-4 on the year and led by 133 pounder Freddy Santaite, who is ranked No. 17 in the nation.

Drexel comes into the weekend with a 5-9 record while Hofstra is 4-2-1 and No. 25 in the country and has five wrestlers ranked in the top-20.

Rider comes into the weekend at 4-6 and has two wrestlers in the top-25.
