KINGS POINT, NY (June 2) - The Old Dominion University sailing team will be one of 18 teams to take part in the 2000 Intercollegiate Yacht Racing Association (ICYRA) North American Coed Dinghy Championship, known as the "Super Bowl" of intercollegiate sailing, at the United State Merchant Marine Academy on June 5-7.

The country's best college sailors will be showcased at the Academy. This is the third national event hosted by the ICYRA since May 28. The Lady Monarchs finished seventh at the ICYRA Women's Dinghy Championship last weekend. For the championship, each school will field both an A and B division team that will race in 36 races over three days (weather permitting). Racing will begin Monday morning.
