NORFOLK, VA--Old Dominion University head basketball coach Blaine Taylor announced today that Ambrose Mosley (Jacksonville, Fl.) a 6-3 guard will join the Monarch program for the upcoming 2012-13 season.

"Mosley fits the prototype of what we're looking for at the guard position. He has good size and long arms, a combo guard who we can use at both off the ball and point position. We think Mosley can be a very good player for us. He plays with good continuous movement and played for a winning program at Hargrave. We are going to have a very strong group of incoming players." - ODU head coach Blaine Taylor.

Mosley played High School basketball for Jacksonville's First Coast High School where he averaged 15.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game as a senior and also played for the Team Florida prospects AAU Program.

Ambrose, nicknamed "The Motor" helped Hargrave Military Academy this past season to a 38-1 record, losing to Brewster in the National Prep basketball Championship title game, 87-76 in New Haven, CT. as he scored 18 points. Mosley averaged 16.3 points, 3.2 steals and 4.5 assists per game at Hargrave.

Ambrose joins five earlier signees in the Fall signing period. They include the Monarchs signed 6-1 guard Keenan Palmore (Atlanta, GA.), 6-9 post player Ekene Anachebe (Fayette County, GA.), 6-3 guard Deion Clark (Naples, FL.) and 6-5 Aaron Bacote (Hampton, VA.). In late December, 6-9 forward Stuart McEwen (Sydney, Australia) signed. 6-9 forward DeShawn Painter is transferring from NC State.
