Alex Loughton Named First Team All-NABC District 4

OVERLAND PARK, KS-Old Dominion University's 6-9 sophomore center/forward Alex Loughton (Perth, Australia) has been selected to the first team NABC District 4 squad.

Loughton currently is averaging 17.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. He currently ranks in the top ten of the CAA in scoring, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, rebounding, offensive rebounding, defensive rebounding, and steals. He is also averaging 2.3 assists per game, and has performed the double-double eight times. He scored a career high 45 points against Charlotte and had 25 points, 15 rebounds and five assists against second ranked St. Joseph's. He also ranks 44th nationally in rebounding.

Loughton and the Monarchs (15-9/ 10-5) return to action on Saturday at 7 p.m. when they travel to Richmond, VA. to take on VCU (17-7/11-4).
