Monarchs In Seventh After Day One Of Szambecki Team Race

NORFOLK, VA (March 25) - Old Dominion's seventh-ranked sailing team sits in seventh-place after ten races in the E. Aaron Szambecki Team Race March 25 at the Old Dominion Sailing Center. The Monarchs finished the day with three wins and seven losses.

Fifth-ranked Georgetown leads the event with a 9-1 record, followed by top-ranked St. Mary's in second and eighth-ranked Hobart William Smith in third.

Skippering for the Monarchs are Adam Burns (Youngstown, NY), Ryan Dunn (Brick, NJ) and Justin Castagne (Trinidad, West Indies), as the crews consist of Heather Pescatello (Westerly, RI), Liz Biondi (Norwalk, CT), Melissa Schulz (Bay Shore, NY), Emily Ruiter (Freehold, NJ) and Brock Callen.

Action will resume on the Elizabeth River on Sunday at 9:45 am.
