COACH'S SHOW HITS THE ROAD:
Come out the Monarch Sports Grille on Monday, February 9th at 6:00 p.m. to join head coach Wendy Larry for her weekly call-in radio show on ESPN Radio 1310. The Monarch Grille is located in the Spring Hill Suites on Hampton Boulevard next to the Ted Constant Convocation Center.

LADY MONARCH MOMENTS:
• The Old Dominion women's basketball returned to the win column Thursday night with a 70-54 victory over Northeastern, sweeping the season series with the Huskies. The win snapped a three-game CAA losing streak for the Lady Monarchs, something that has only happened three times since ODU joined the league in 1991-92.

• Senior Tiffany Green continues to shine leading the Lady Monarchs in scoring at 15.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest. She has notched 10 double-doubles this season, including six against CAA competition. Green also moved into 20th on the all-time ODU scoring leaders list with her 13 points against the Huskies, surpassing Lady Monarch legend Ticha Penicheiro.

• Sophomore Shadasia Green returned to the hardwood Thursday after being awarded an academic appeal from the NCAA. Green returned to net a career-high 19 points going 8-of-12 from the field. Her eight field goals were also a career mark.

• Old Dominion will spend three of its next four games on the road. Next up, the Lady Monarchs will travel to Philadelphia for its lone regular season meeting with Drexel on Thursday then return home for the annual Hoops for a Cure game next Sunday against Delaware.

ABOUT UNC-WILMINGTON:
The UNC-Wilmington Seahawks enter Sunday's contest with a 10-11 overall mark and 4-6 mark in the CAA. The Seahawks dropped their last two contests, a 42-64 setback at VCU and a 50-55 loss at Trask to Drexel. UNC-Wilmington did give the VCU Rams its only other loss other than Old Dominion on the year with a 73-60 victory in Wilmington back on January 25th. Sophomore guard/forward Brittany Blackwell and junior guard Greta Luksyte led the way the Seahawks. Blackwell, the 2008 CAA Rookie of the Year, leads UNC-Wilmington at 14.3 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per contest. Luksyte is pouring in 10.1 points per game. Senior guard/forward Sahsha Taylor is averaging 9.8 points per game. Taylor, who poured in a team-leading 19 points in the last meeting, missed a pair of contests last with an elbow injury.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH UNC-WILMINGTON:
Old Dominion leads the all-time series 38-0. The Seahawks are one of four CAA teams that have yet to record a victory over the Lady Monarchs. Old Dominion won the first meeting this season with a 79-70 win at Trask Coliseum on January 8th,

LAST TIME VS. UNC-WILMINGTON:
With all the post players in foul trouble throughout the night, the Old Dominion women's basketball team remained poised down the stretch to defeat UNC-Wilmington, 79-70, on January 8th at Trask Coliseum. Sophomores Vicki Collier, Sierra Little, and Alena "Russia" Voronina all came off the bench to capture career numbers in helping the Lady Monarchs to victory. Old Dominion led by just two, 34-32, at the half, thanks in part to its post spending the opening stanza in foul trouble. Senior Tiffany Green, sophomore Sierra Little, and freshman Mairi Buchan spent the last 11 minutes with at least two fouls and with 4:48 remaining in the half, all available posts had two or more fouls. In all, the first half endured 25 fouls. UNC-Wilmington scored nine of its last 13 points of the half from the charity stripe to help close the gap to what was once a nine-point Lady Monarch advantage. The Seahawks took over the lead in the second half, leading by six, 49-43 with 12:10 remaining. Collier, who finished the night with a season-high eight points, helped start a 14-3 run that returned the lead for good to the Lady Monarchs. During the run, Jazzmin Walters found the gap for lay-up to tie the game for the seventh and final time at 58-58 with less than seven minutes left. On the next play, senior captain Jen Nuzzo capitalized on a UNC-Wilmington turnover. Nuzzo would end up at the line shooting two and returning an edge to Old Dominion they would never lose. The Lady Monarchs led by as many as 10 down the stretch.

MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE SHINE:
It wasn't the usual suspects putting up the numbers in ODU's last meeting with UNC-Wilmington. Vicki Collier captured a career-high eight points, while Little reset her mark with a then career-high seven points, and Voronina playing in a career-high 13 minutes went 3-of-3 from the field to collect a career-high six points. Collier, however, will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury and Voronina is nursing a stress fracture. Little has since reset her career mark putting up 14 points against George Mason.

FOUL CALLS:
The 26 fouls called on the Lady Monarchs in their last meeting with the Seahawks were the most this season surpassing the previous high of 25 against #15/16 Maryland on December 21st. No Lady Monarch fouled out of the contest despite six Lady Monarchs having recorded two or more fouls at the half. Mairi Buchan, Jasmine Parker, Alena Voronina, and Sierra Little ended the game with four fouls each.

NICE SHOOTING:
Old Dominion shot a season-best 50.9 percent (29-of-57) from the floor in January 8th's victory over UNC-Wilmington. It was the Lady Monarchs best outing from the floor since going .500 (27-of-54) at Georgia State nearly a year ago on January 7th, 2008.
