Ford Second at MAISA LASER QUALIFIER

ANNAPOLIS, MD.-- Senior Neil Ford (St. John's, Virgin Islands) is in second place just five points behind Tyler Haskell of Georgetown after the first day of sailing in the MAISA Laser South Qualifier. The Monarchs are tied for third with Hobart-William Smith after one day of sailing in the MAISA Sloop Championships.

Two other Monarch sailors are in the top ten at the MAISA Lasers, Harold Byrd is fifth with 47 points and sophomore Jack Kerr (Seattle, WA.) Is sixth with 50 points. Andrew Newbold (Hummelstown, Pa.) is 13th with 98 points.

In the MAISA Sloops, Navy leads with 19 points, St. Mary's is second with 20 points while Hobart-William Smith and Old Dominion are tied for third with 25 points in the 13 team district championship event.
