Last Hoops Club breakfast of the Year this Friday!
Feb. 14, 2006
We will host our third and final breakfast of the year Friday, Feb. 17th. at 7:30 a.m. in the Big Blue Room at the Constant Center. John Castleberry will interview our seniors Isaiah Hunter and Alex Loughton. Please come out and show your appreciation for them and the great manner in which they have represented ODU on and off the court. Coach Taylor promises to have you on your way in an hour.
Coach Taylor on Isaiah Hunter: "Seems like just yesterday this flashy little freshman showed up on our door step. He has been an integral part of the belief we can be a good team and program with good players. We have shared many experiences with Isaiah, including the death of his father, Irving. Isaiah has improved every year."
Blaineism on Isaiah: "...but a good steak needs a little sizzle and Zai had that sizzle that can bring belief to the rest of your team. When we recruited Isaiah, I was well aware that I was getting a ball of energy that had to be bottled, blended and aged."
Coach Taylor on Alex Loughton: "Alex embodies what we want representing Old Dominion basketball. He will be seen and remembered as such. Consider his status as an academic All-American. His affable approach to people, and his ambitions to help make our program as good as any. He was recognized many ways a year ago, but he will be the first to tell you, individual accomplishments are not why he works to contribute to our success."
Blaineism on Alex: "The boy from down under has really made his mark. Let's make sure we tell the mate it's been great"
Please R.S.V.P. to 683-5696 or firstname.lastname@example.org by Feb. 16th if you plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there. Go Monarchs!
