NORFOLK, VA. - Old Dominion's 2010 recruiting class was listed as the nation's 19th-best by Wrestling Insider Newsmagazine (WIN). It's the sixth straight year the Monarchs have been ranked in the Top 20 by both WIN and InterMat.

"Old Dominion's Steve Martin once again worked the Senior Nationals hard and once again scored with three-time Kansas champion Cade Blair (157) and Jacob Henderson (197)," said WIN's high school editor Rob Sherrill. "Three schools closed fast to earn spots in the top 25 after not making our November list: Old Dominion (No. 19), Maryland (No. 22) and Northern Iowa (No. 25). The three supplanted Princeton, Boise State and Michigan State from our November list."

Blair and Henderson (Toldeo, Ohio) were both All-Americans, as well as New Jersey champion Scott Festejo (141) of Long Branch High School.

Those three join Martin's three November recruits: Jerome Robinson (125) of Cleveland, Ohio, Tristan Warner (165-174) of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Matt Tourdot (197-285) of Sparta, Wis.

"The coaching staff and the entire program is pleased to be recognized by WIN as having another Top 20 recruiting class," said Martin. "This recognition will help our program as we continue to strive to bring in student-athletes that have goals of garnering degrees and national titles."

Minnesota led all schools with seven recruits ranked in WIN's top 20 at their respective weights. Iowa, Nebraska and Oklahoma check in with six ranked recruits. Old Dominion, Northwestern, Iowa State, Virginia Tech, Penn State and Indiana all had five ranked recruits.

In the last six years, Martin has brought in four recruiting classes ranked in the Top 10 (2005, 2006, 2008, 2009) and two classes ranked in the Top 20 (2007 and 2010).

Old Dominion is coming off a season where it won the CAA regular season title and produced three NCAA qualifiers. At the NCAA Tournament senior Chris Brown earn NCAA All-American status, ODU's third straight year with an All-American.
