Lady Monarchs Host Arkansas Sunday at 1:00

NORFOLK, VA -The Old Dominion women's soccer team looks to return to their winning ways this weekend as the Lady Monarchs host Arkansas at 1:00 on Sunday.  ODU dropped both games last weekend at the UNC-Greensboro-hosted Adidas Classic, and are now 2-3-1 for the season.  Sunday's game will be the last non-conference match for ODU until October 15, when they meet Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.  Arkansas comes into the game 4-3-3, and come off a pair of wins at the Alabama A&M Tournament.


The Lady Monarchs are 0-1-1 all-time against the Lady Backs, tying Arkansas 1-1 in Arkansas' tournament last season.  ODU dropped a 2-1 game to Coastal Carolina and a 1-0 game to Pittsburgh last weekend at the Adidas Classic.  ODU has a three-game home unbeaten streak on the line against Arkansas.  The Lady Monachs have defeated Longwood and UMBC and tied Campbell this season at the ODU Soccer Stadium.


Arkansas is 0-2 for the season in non-tournament road action, losing 3-2 to Southeast Missouri State and 1-0 to Oral Roberts.  Arkansas defeated Grambling 4-0 at the Alabama A&M Tournament before routing Southern 11-0.  The Lady Backs went 7-10-2 overall in 2003, with a 3-6 SEC record, placing them 5th in the West division.
