Old Dominion Set To Host Bucknell at Constant Center Sunday

NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion wrestling team will welcome Bucknell to the Ted Constant Convocation Center for a non-conference matchup Sunday at 2 p.m.

Old Dominion (7-3-1) is coming off an impressive 3-0-1 showing at the CAA Duals last Saturday. The Monarchs topped Hofstra (29-10), Boston U. (35-7) and Drexel (32-10), while tying Binghamton (17-17).

Four Monarchs posted 4-0 records on the day including junior James Nicholson. The No. 3 ranked wrestler at 125-pounds breezed through his four matches, picking up a pair of falls and a technical fall.

Senior's Chris Brown, Eric Decker and Jesse Strawn were also perfect on the day. No. 14 Brown registered three major decision wins, No. 10 Strawn picked up a fall and a major decision and Decker had a fall and two major decisions.

Bucknell enters this weekend with a 7-5 overall record. The Bison have three nationally-ranked wrestlers, including No. 7 Kevin LeValley at 149-pounds. David Marble at 133-pounds and Shane Riccio at 174-pounds are both ranked No. 17 in their respective weight classes.

Old Dominion defeated Bucknell, 21-9, last year in Lewisburg, Pa. The Monarchs were also victorious the last time the squads met in Norfolk, winning 30-6 in 2008.
