NORFOLK, Va. -- At 3:00 pm today on Foreman Field, 107 Old Dominion students gathered around head football coach Bobby Wilder for the first ever walk-on tryouts. The group ran a series of warm-ups and then were tested in a trio of agility drills for nearly an hour and a half. The event was the kickoff of a three-month program for students trying out for ODU's first football team since 1940.

The eligible students that were cleared to work out and participate with the eight football coaches were called on to return for a 14-session tryout to take place over the next three months.
