NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion women's lacrosse team exploded for 19 goals, the most in a game since 1996, as the Lady Monarchs defeated UMBC, 19-11, in its home opener on Foreman Field on Saturday afternoon.

The 19 goals scored by the Lady Monarchs were the most since 1996 when Old Dominion defeated then conference rival American, 20-3.

Wosczyna added in two assists on the afternoon to record nine points for the second straight game. In all, seven different Lady Monarchs reached the back of the Retriever net.

UMBC was led by Kelly Fahey, Jen Dragoni, and Kate Worthington with two goals apiece. Both Fahey and Dragoni added in an assist to lead the Retrievers with three points.
