The Old Dominion men's soccer team continues their Colonial Athletic Association Conference (CAA) schedule this weekend as they host George Mason on Friday and James Madison on Sunday. The Monarchs are 4-4-0 overall and 1-0-0 in conference play after dropping two games at the Rutgers Tournament last weekend.

ODU lost 4-0 to a top ranked St. John's squad and let a two-goal lead slip away in a 3-2 overtime defeat to #13 Rutgers at the tournament. The team is now 1-3 against ranked opponents after a 2-1 loss to #22 Wake Forest and a 3-2 OT win over #12 American. Their other loss came against now ranked #19 Coastal Carolina in the ODU Stihl Soccer Classic. The Monarchs defeated the previously unbeaten UNC-Wilmington squad 5-0 in their only other CAA game this year.

Scoring leader Attila Vendegh (Bratislava, Slovakia) has notched six goals and five assists this season, good enough for a tie at fifth in the South Atlantic Region. He has 36 career goals and will break the school career record for goals with his next tally. Kevon Harris (Kingston, Jamaica) ranks third in the CAA with 0.57 assists/game and Sam Cameron (Raleigh, NC) leads all district keepers with 6.80 saves/game.

James Madison is 4-7 after a 3-0 loss to George Mason in their CAA opener. JMU leads the series 15-8-4 after the teams battled to a scoreless overtime tie last year in Norfolk. George Mason is currently 6-1-2 with a 1-0 CAA record. Mason features one of the top goalies in the nation in John O'Hara. O'Hara leads the Colonial Athletic Association and the South Atlantic Region and is ranked sixth in the nation with a 0.52 goals-against average. The Monarchs are riding a three-game winning streak over the Patriots, but GMU holds a 9-13-1 lifetime edge over ODU.
