NORFOLK, VA - The Old Dominion women's soccer team, unbeaten in their last three games, will travel to Williamsburg tonight, to face the Tribe of William & Mary, in a 7:00 match-up. Tonight's game will be the first of three straight road games for the team. The Lady Monarchs are fresh off a two-win weekend at home, defeating James Madison 1-0 and George Mason 4-3, to improve to 5-4-2 overall and 2-1-1 in the Colonial Athletic Association.
ODU has never defeated William & Mary, and has an 0-11 all-time record against them. The Lady Monarchs dropped a 2-1 decision at home last year to the Tribe. William & Mary is 5-3-4, with a 2-0-2 CAA record. Katie Hogwood and Taline Tahmassian have combined for 32 points this year for W&M, leading a potent offense.
Freshman Lisa McKenzie (Inverness, Scotland) scored two goals this past Sunday, in ODU's 4-3 win over George Mason, to earn CAA Rookie of the Week honors. ODU is led in scoring by Laura Beeman (Chalfont, PA), who has seven goals and three assists so far this season.
The Lady Monarchs will be off this weekend, and will next see action the following weekend, taking on Virginia Tech Friday, October 15, and Radford October 17, on the road.
