Women's Tennis Upends Central Florida, 5-2

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The #56 Old Dominion women's tennis team collected a 5-2 upset victory over Central Florida Tuesday afternoon at UCF Tennis Complex. With the win, the Lady Monarchs have strung together a seven-game win streak and are currently 8-1 overall (1-1 CAA).

Despite losing the last two singles matches, Old Dominion rolled to victory. The Lady Monarchs claimed the doubles point to start the match and then went on to win the first four singles matches behind fourth-ranked freshman sensation Nataly Cahana (Qiriat Bialik, Israel) and sophomore Mily Kannarkat (Virginia Beach, Va.), who both improved to 9-0 in spring singles play.

The Lady Monarchs will take on Stetson Wednesday afternoon.
