Wrestlers Finish Fourth At Virginia Intercollegiate Championships

Fairfax, Va. -- The Old Dominion wrestling team finished in fourth place and junior Jeff Rusak took the title at 174 in the Virginia Intercollegiate Championships.

The University of Virginia won the championship, followed by George Mason, James Madison, and Old Dominion.

Rusak (Reading, PA) finished first by virtue of a 3-0 record on the day and an 11-6 decision over Longwood's Ben Summerlin in the championship round. Rusak's record improves to 22-3 on the year.

Also faring well were Matt Epps (Mechanicsville, VA), Jesse Pearce (Norfolk, VA), Matt Small, and Derrell Lorthridge (Wilmington, DE). Small finished second at 184 while Epps, Pearce and Lorthridge all finished in fourth place in their respective weight classes.
