When did you begin playing football?
Around age 7 is when I played little league football in the Richmond area.
Who has had the greatest impact on your career?
My high school coach Tom Hall, but most important has been my family and friends that have supported me throughout the years.
Why did you choose to attend ODU?
I wanted to have a hand in starting something new and putting ODU on the map as a top ranked I-AA football program in the nation. I also like being closer to the beach.
What has been the biggest difference between high school football and college football?
It would have to be the speed and intensity of your opponents.
What has it been the best part about being a member of ODU’s first football team in over 60 years?
The hype and excitement that you see in people's eyes while talking to them about the program.
If you could play another position what would it be and why?
I would love to play quarterback, because I want to be able to have total control of a game and the QB spot gives you the opportunity to have the ball in your hands every play.
Favorite sports other than your own?
College basketball; you get to see the underdog teams beat a top ranked team week after week.
After meeting Coach Wilder for the first time, what were your thoughts?
When I first met Coach Wilder, I could really look into his eyes and see that he had a clear vision set for what he wanted ODU football to be. And that is what we need to start off on top and be the team to beat in the CAA.
After meeting Coach Cotton for the first time, what were your thoughts?
I could tell that he wasn't only going to teach us about the game, but he would also mentor us about life which would help us to become better Division I college athletes.
Do you have a pre-game ritual, if so what is it?
Before every game I must first eat some kind of chicken and second, listen to nothing but old school rap on my iPod.
What is your funniest memory from an ODU practice thus far?
It would be a combination of listening to the funny quotes given by the coaches...Wilder, "tackle football"...Scott, "your soffft/waste of a rep"...Cotton, "baby need shoes"... and Rondeau, I will just simply say "the silly string joke"
If you could line up opposite any player in the NFL and go 1-on-1, who would it be and why?
I would choose to go up against any Dallas Cowboy offensive lineman in a pass rush just so I could have the chance to sack Tony Romo...GO REDSKINS!!
What song is stuck in your head right now?
Superstar by Lupe Fiasco
What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
That I have sat out of football for the past 3 1/2 years.
What is your dream job?
My goal in life is to be a Record Company CEO in the music business.
What is your most valued possession?
Pictures of my family and friends.
What is your favorite place to eat on campus?
Chick-Fil-A for quality and The Webb Cafe for quantity.
