NORFOLK, Va. -- Two Lady Monarch tennis players earned First Team All-State honors in both singles and doubles action as voted on by the state's sports information directors. Senior Charleen Haarhoff and sophomore Nadine Fahoum both were names to the first team singles and first team doubles team.

Haarhoff, from Durbin, South Africa, completed her final campaign with a 23-13 record in No. 2 singles and a second team All-CAA nod. She was ranked as high as 105th this season, helping ODU to a final ranking of 53rd in the country. She defeated #40 Gina Schofield (South Carolina) and had seven wins against Commonwealth opponents. She won a singles title at the Sergio Tacchini Invite and also qualified to the NCAA Tournament with partner Nadine Fahoum.

Fahoum and Haarhoff won their first round match at the NCAA Tournament before falling to the overall #1 seed in the second round. The tandem went 26-8 overall including an impressive 11-3 in duals at No. 1 doubles.

Fahoum's singles season was also terrific, earning her First Team All-CAA honors and ranking as high as 99th in the country. She played exclusively in No. 1 singles all year, posting a 29-8 overall record. She won 14 of her first 15 matches in the spring season, including a win against #42 Jennifer Stevens (UVa).
