Injuries Force Monarchs to Withdraw from Ironwood Collegiate

Greenville, NC. (March 14, 2001) -- The Monarchs of Old Dominion University withdrew from the final round of the Ironwood Collegiate because of injuries to Geoffrey Harris(Reading, England) and Tony Sarko(Allentown, Pa.). Sarko injured his wrist on a swing and Harris strained back muscles. The injuries left Old Dominion with only three golfers to finish the event.

Going into the final round, Old Dominion was 12th. Michael Hospodar (Ontario, Canada) finished tied for 53rd. Georgia Southern won the event with an 897. The Monarchs return to action on March 23 for the Furman Intercollegiate, in Greenville, SC.
