Field Hockey Tops The Poll

NORFOLK, VA -- The Old Dominion field hockey team tied for first place along with the University of Maryland in this week's STX/NFHCA Poll released today. Both the Lady Monarchs and Terrapins gathered 565 points to top the list.

The Lady Monarchs (15-4, 3-0 CAA) will return to action this weekend in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships hosted by Old Dominion. The opening round begins on Saturday, November 3rd with the championship game taking place the following day on Sunday, November 4th. The championships first game will feature the top seeded Lady Monarchs against the fourth seeded Virginia Commonwealth Rams at noon followed by #2 James Madison taking on #3 William and Mary at 2:30 p.m. The winners of each game will advance to Sunday's championship game at 1:00 p.m.
