NORFOLK, VA--The Old Dominion University Lady Monarchs (7-0) remained undefeated with a 3-0 non conference victory over Campbell (0-5) Saturday evening. Junior forward Katie Watson (Woodbridge, VA.), sophomore Caroline Brown (Lansdale, PA.) and senior Heather Vaughan (Virginia Beach, VA.) each scored goals for ODU, while sophomore Shavon Knight (Waldorf, MD.) assisted on two of them.

After 60-plus scoreless minutes Watson got a pass from Knight and pushed it past the goalkeeper to give ODU a 1-0 lead. Seven minutes later Caroline Brown got a pass from Knight on the right side and scored to make it 2-0. Heather Vaughan then got a rebound from her first shot and pumped it in the net to finish the scoring.

Both Knight and Watson continue to lead the CAA in scoring with 20 points each. Watson leads the CAA with nine goals followed by Knight with eight. Knight has four assists. The 7-0 start is the best in school history and the seven straight wins ties a school mark set last year.

ODU dominate play, outshooting Campbell, 27-0 as sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Tupman (Virginia Beach,VA.) picked up her sixth shutout of the season. Campbell's goalkeeper Samar Azem had 12 saves on the night. ODU hosts Liberty Monday night at 7 p.m.
