Old Dominion Tennis Vaults To No. 49 In The ITA Poll

NORFOLK, Va. -- After winning eight straight and defeating No. 21 Louisville for the biggest win in school history, the Old Dominion men's tennis team moved to No. 49 in the latest ITA Poll released on Tuesday.

The Monarchs, 21-7 overall with the most wins in school history, take on No. 67 William & Mary Thursday at Huntington Park in Newport News.

Two Monarch men's players were ranked in the singles poll. Sophomore Harel Srugo (Kibutz Gazit, Israel) moved up a spot to No. 28 with his 22-6 overall record. Srugo was won seven of his last eight with the lone loss during that span coming to Radford's No. 26 Martin Sayer.

Sophomore Eidy Igarashi (São José do Rio Preto, Brazil) also remains in the poll coming in at No. 87. The 2005 CAA Rookie of the Year currently boasts a 22-11 overall mark.
