Hunter Named CAA Player of The Week

NORFOLK, VA--Junior guard Isaiah Hunter (Charlotte, NC.) was named Player Of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association today. Hunter scored 58 points to lead the Monarchs to a 3-1 record last week which included wins over Kent State, Texas Christian, and Shawnee State as well as the title at the Corpus Christi Challenge. Hunter was named Tournament MVP.

The 6-2 guard averaged 14.5 points per game, 2.8 assists and came up with four Steals in the four games. With Kent State leading 55-46, Hunter scored 11 of the Monarchs final 18 points as ODU rallied for the 64-59 win. Hunter also poured in 16 in The Monarchs, 67-62 win over Texas Christian. He is currently averaging 13.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists through five games.

ODU hosts VMI (2-0) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in the Constant Center.
