Men's Tennis Wins Two Over Liberty and Morgan State

NORFOLK, Va. -- The Monarchs improved to 5-1 to start the season with a pair of victories on Sunday, winning 5-2 over Liberty and 7-0 against Morgan State.

Both Yakov Diskin and Krzystof Muzalewski earned a pair of singles victories as well as pairing together for the No. 2 doubles win in both matches. Though Liberty would take the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3, Diskin and Muzalewski defeated Liberty's No. 2 pair, Wirth/Steyn, by an 8-4 final.

Diskin also stepped into No. 3 singles and defeated Liberty senior Chad Simpson 6-4, 6-4 as well as Morgan State junior Dmitry Chekhlatyy 6-1, 6-4. Muzalewski won both matches at No. 4 singles while ODU's Tobias Fanselow and Benjamin Chomette also swept the No. 1 and No. 2 singles.
